THE finance head of the mechanical engineering department cheated the National University of Singapore (NUS) of nearly $69,000 between 2003 and 2006.

Peggy Ang Seow Ling cooked up 54 false claims for expenses on catering services and purchases of computer equipment, masks, gloves and stationery.

The 37-year-old was jailed for eight months by a district court on Monday. She pleaded guilty last month.

Peggy Ang Seow Ling cooked up 54 false claims for expenses on catering services and purchases of computer equipment, masks, gloves and stationery.

The 37-year-old was jailed for eight months by a district court on Monday. She pleaded guilty last month.

Dr Chee was dishonest, he used the work place courier service, might have used the photocopy machine too plus reams of paper, plus ball point pens, plus correcting fluids, electricity, computer time, the coffee & water from the percolator...the toliet...

see what i mean, LKY can only prevent corruption at the MIWs level..so far...i dunno what's skeletons are hiding in their closest because they have a law to send private investigation into them.

but at the peasant level, corruption cannot be prevented....that's where the impact is felt most!! :D
