These Malaysians arrive on motorcycles daily and disperse all over the Island to jobsites that could not function without them and return the same day.

You expect them to arrive by train, get to their workplaces via public transport and go home via the same mechanism daily??? It shows just how detached from reality you are. The commute alone would take 3 to 4 hours and by the time they arrived at work it would be time to head home again.
