This historian didn't know chams are malays but were driven out by the vietnamese and Thais. The malays were, like everyone else in south east asia, influenced by dravidian tamils.
The sailing experience and know how probably from tamils, as they sailed from india all the way yo korea. How else you think budhism can spread so far.

But the linking of cham culture to that of south america is not proven. Intially it was said to be polynesian from taiwanese aborigines. But taiwanese otang asli have no mortar like buildings.umless the ones they found at the botttom of the ocean can be counted as one. There is also another similar underwater structure in japan.

Can show us where are these wonderful structures in Malaysia?

The mysterious ancient capital "Kota Gelanggi" (Kota Gelanggi) that disappeared in the Malaysian state of Johor has sparked an upsurge of local people seeking secrets, but this mysterious ancient capital may have already sunk to the bottom of the lake.

As early as more than ten years ago, the Malaysian media had successively reported that a "thousand-year-old city"-"Grange City" was suspected to appear in Johor. Whether the ancient capital of "Kota Grange" exists is still a mystery.

According to speculation, this ruin may have appeared earlier than Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Borobudur in Indonesia.

On the other hand, according to media reports in 2006, a member of the archaeological research and development department appointed by the local government conducted a month-long exploration and research in July 2005, but the "disappeared" "Ancient capital" remains.

Archaeologist Raimy Che-Ross discovered from the air that there is an unusual topography in Johor, which made him believe that it may be the ancient abandoned capital of Sri Vijaya who died in 650 AD. If this discovery is true, it may advance the civilization history of the Malayan Peninsula for more than a thousand years. Qi Luoshi tried to enter this area in 2003, but was unable to enter.
