This is not common.
Perogi (Polish) or varenyky (Ukrainian, although in several parts of Ukraine, they may use pierogies).
Perogis are not eaten at breakfast. But may be for lunch for a small segment of the population.
Could be filled with potatoes, potatoes and cheese, mushrooms, saukraut, mushrooms and saukraut, not beef.
Dessert perogies may be filled with blueberries, or prunes, or ??
Some people put some sour cream oj their perogies.
Cabbage rolls are fllled with rice, or rice and ground beef, or buck wheat.
