Woman fell prey to snatch thief

A Chinese woman in her mid 40s fell prey to a snatch thief last Sunday evening.

She was waiting for the lift at Blk 13 Holland Drive when a man came from behind and pushed her.

He snatched her handbag and fled towards North Buona Vista Road.

The bag contained a $500 mobile phone, cash worth $250 and some personal belongings.

Police say the thief is of dark complexion, thin-built and has short hair.

He was wearing a long sleeved pink shirt.

Witnesses to call the police hotline at 1800-255-0000.

All this would not have happened if they did not decide to close down the valet parking service. How are they suppose to fend for themselves?

This area is also very near to my house.

I just went to holland v last week. As usual lots of ang mohs there.

In fact i have one cousin staying in one of the HDB block there and i have sent him back before.

It looks pretty quiet late at night. Have to be careful though.
