After just three months in business, Nam Sing Hokkien Fried Mee’s Bukit Batok outlet quietly closed for good. The Westside branch had opened to long queues in February this year at a newly revamped coffeeshop in Bukit Batok West.

If their food was so good, why can't they sell each plate of their noodles for at least $10? That's the market price for the bottom tier of japanese ramen or western pasta.

KNN just one fucking prawn ? No wonder close shop.

they used to be good at Old Kallang Airport FC up till about 2010, been downhill since

These monkeys no brain sia. No manpower then open up the branch for what? They have at least lost a few months of prepaid rental.

They should go kaput for having that terrible logo. And they even dared to print it on their plates. :roflmao:

Reviews seem average at best. 3.4 stars? I’ve seen McDonald’s with higher reviews.

One ho-hum hodgepodge of thick white (beehoon) cum thin yellow (egg noodles), a smattering of jaundiced sea creatures and exiguous pork belly filaments all writhing in the throes of some irreparably claggy gunk - this bastardized affair ain't anywhere near ready for prime time. Ditto the amateurish trite sambal chilli which screamed bloody wrong on so many levels.

Further factor in an asshole server encountered, coupled with nearly 40 minutes spent waiting, it therefore more than suffices to award two fat thumbs down. WAY DOWN.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I used to patron the old skool Hokkien mee along Serangoon road where the owner would be sitting on a chair to fry the noodle with charcoal in the 80s. Usually very long queue. Now, I think the stall is called original Serangoon fired hokkien mee. I think the disciple took over and since then, IMHO, not nice anymore.

Man that was a direct, straight punch to the gut by Sister Claire. I can imagine the stall owner kneeling down, grimacing in deep and intense pain...

It was OK when at Hougang , near Florence Road but actually became worse when move to Old Airport Road

There is already so many stalls selling Fried Hokkien Mee at old airport road food center.
So how good is Nam Sing??

This style the hokkien mee is all about the chillis. Hot enough no body care the noodle good anot. All those give 1 star review no eat chilli lah. :cool:
