Fleeing Sri Lanka President fails to show up at Changi Airport as expected this morning

arrived. sg foreign affairs ministry just put out a statement about his “private” visit. he hasn’t resigned yet.

Actually this one can be useful as adviser to paper generals as he has actual war experience ,seeing active service in the Civil War with elite infantry, took part in major offensives and played a major role in the defeat of the Tamil Tigers .
He is also a living proof that military officers are not suitable to run business or lead the country's economic development.-I hope he does not take umbrage as its only my personal opinion .
On the other hand can a medical doctor be a good defense minister?- I hope he does not find it raucous, rambunctious, and discombobulating.
Circular logic! To be a good minister u must be a minister before? Where does it start? :cautious:

he’s not considered a fugitive (yet) unless he’s convicted and wanted by the new sri lanka regime for corruption and embezzlement of state funds. dogs will still require at least 30 days quarantine upon arrival. owners can visit their dogs during quarantine and bring them out in an enclosed yard for walks on a daily basis.
New regime is illegitimate as far as due process is concerned. But oppies get a hard on thinking they can kick out a democratically elected government by force.

Tiagong he come over to withdraw his savings from MAS......

We are all entitled to our opinion and I welcome an open exchage of ideas .
Circular reasoning or logic is often of the form: "A is true because B is true; B is true because A is true."
I am unable to detect any circular argument but I admit my statement about being a good defense minister is said more in jest-but it certainly helps if one has relevant or related experience.
I would hesitate to appoint a military man as defense minister because of the idea of civilian superiority or civilian control of the military but perhaps a person schooled in social /political sciences/international relations or diplomacy may be more suitable
