Ex-boyfriend’s name tattooed across her breast, woman worries what her fiancé might say when he sees it, asks, “How do I explain? How will he feel? Will he leave me?”

Singapore — A woman who had something on her chest (no pun intended) took to NUSWhispers, the Facebook page where people usually write in to get something off of theirs.
She has a tattoo of her ex-boyfriend’s name over her left breast, and now that she is engaged to another man, is worried that her fiancé will reject her.
Fortunately, netizens offered many helpful suggestions to the woman, who wrote on Nov 27 that the situation was “hurting” her “so badly” that she “sobbed myself to sleep every night.”
The 26-year-old woman wrote that she loves her fiancé, 34, very much, and described him as “the nicest person” she “ever met.”
Part of her fear is of choosing her wedding gown because of her tattoo, which no one knows about, not even her parents or sisters.
She also wrote that she had been “forced” by her former boyfriend, whom she had a relationship with in her first year in university and whom she deserved as “a total jerk.”
“There is so many hurtful incidents, so much things he do to me, I am glad I left him. One of the thing he force me to do it to tattoo his name across my breast. I didn’t want to but after weeks of persuasion I give in. It don’t seem to be too bad an idea at that point in time. But now I regret it so much and felt so stupid, angry with myself. Now I have to live with his name screaming across my breast, and its not a small tattoo either.”
She added that her worst fear is of her fiancé discovering the tattoo if she wears a low-cut wedding gown, or when they see each other naked in the future.
“How do I explain? How will he feel? Will he leave me? Laser tattoo removal don’t seem to work well and will leave a scar… I don’t believe he can accept it. Even if he said it is ok, I know that no guys can accept that his wife have the name of another man tattoo on their breast.”
Many netizens were sympathetic to her plight and suggested a fix: that she cover her ex-boyfriend’s name with another tattoo.
Others thought of more “creative” solutions.
Some netizens urged her to talk to him, assuring her that if her fiancé really loves her, he will accept her as she is.
