After almost 2 years of applying for countless positions in multiple industries (including logistics, construction, manufacturing and education), my job-hunting endeavors have met with zero success. While I managed to attend a few interviews, them folks who promised to revert in due time never did. Others lowballed me remuneration wise upon being privy to my currently desperate financial situation; despite me eating humble pie and accepting what was offered, nothing materialized.

I knew of "friends" who hung around while I was gainfully employed, but cut off all contact upon learning about my unenviable predicament. There was also this girl who expressed interest in entering a relationship, she too vanished once I told her yours sincerely ain't bringing home the bacon no more. Oh well, guess they were just being pragmatic. No money, no friendship. No honey either. Only scorn plus the occasional really acidic mockery cast your way.

If he could not get a job, he should have started his own business.

2-10 years without a job doesn't matter as long as your accounts are full 7-8 digits in US$ or S$!

no money how to start business?

You don't have to have a lot of money to start a business. People seem to think that starting a business requires a lot of initial capital and the ability to pay a large amount in monthly rentals, but that only assumes a certain type of business.

You don't need a lot of money but you certainly need a skill to start anything. You got to have something that people want.

Take the skill of cutting hair for example. If you have the skill of cutting hair, you only need small money to invest in hair cutting tools like scissors for start. But imagine if this moron cut hair for the past 02 years when he was unemployed. He would have some money for his own upkeep and depending on how clever he is at managig money, could even have some savings to start a small barber shop. He could have grown and run a budding business...

Of course you need to have something that people want. This is not only for a business but also for a job. But my point is that you do not need to have money to make money.

I knew of jobless people betting on 4D & TOTO every week.

If you are indeed truly DESPERATE, there is NO end of legitimate honest jobs available in Singapore, that even a 90 yr old will take, TO SURVIVE.

These are NOT the best of times, with climate change harming environment & economic factors, inflation, RUS invasion into Ukraine, World on a post COVid footing, etc, thus there will be NO jobs that will measure up to your EXPECTATIONS, nor time right for any entrepreneurship, whichever your qualifications which you did not reveal.

Right now, for EVERY Human, it is about survival. Forget about personal secretaries, lunch at Fullerton Hotel, dinner & wine at Dynasty KTV, etc. till at least better times return, which IT WILL, thru the courage and perseverance of others to not give up, but none from you.

I have the deepest respect for my fellow citizens whom were booted out SIA pilots. They took on whatever jobs available, even Grab or Uber, far beneath their qualifications, & survived, to pay bills & most IMPORTANTLY, to put food on the table for themselves & their loved ones.

How about you? What is your measure?

If you have skills that people needs you don't even need $100. People will pay you thousands instead.
well done, you have gone in circles yet shared nothing concrete. You think you are bruce lee playing with water huh?

In the context of Sinkeepoo, its even better. They are paying you to learn a skill which you can use to make money. Listen properly: They are paying you to learn something. Bakery, gardening, upgrading skills you already have...etc.

Opportunities abound for those who really want to get out of their shit life in Sinkeepoo. You'll never find these kind of opportunities in Thailand. That I am sure.
