This is the problem. Currently, this war not hurting US one bit and it cost them very little to support ukraine infantry. Their long term goal is to make russia financially insolvent like wot happened to the soviet union. To make this into a reality, they have to make this war last as long as poss8ble.
 
If Le pen wins, it could stop the war by marshalling germany to its senses snd stop supplying arms to ukraine.
