Nasi lemak hawker Ellis Phua first caught netizens’ eye last year, when they claimed that she resembles Mediacorp actress Vivian Lai. Well, the 42-year-old has been busy since going viral. Her hawker stall 97 Nasi Lemak at Old Airport Road Food Centre, which serves wallet-friendly Chinese-style nasi lemak with crispy chicken wings and fiery sambal, now has a second outlet at North Bridge Road Market & Food Centre.

She got her original stall halal-certified last year (the new joint’s halal application is still in the works). Despite the rising costs of ingredients (like super expensive eggs) plaguing the F&B industry, Ellis has not raised prices for nasi lemak sets at her current two outlets, which offer identical menus.

Ghib Ojisan : I Paid $20 for a Nasi Lemak in Singapore.. Is it Worth it?

Lol netizens are usually stupid and have poor eyesights. She doesn’t look like Vivian Lai at all.

Quite attractive is quite different from resembling a celebrity… or shall I say a Mediacorpse entertainer.

Glockie, this nasi lemak lady doesn’t look like Vivian Lai, those who said so bak chew tiak stamp :coffee::coffee::coffee:
Indeed she doesn't. Bur she is still quite attractive lah. What happened to your Can eat don't waste?! Besides, I also love nasi lemak.:inlove:

By the way, does she work at the Old Airport Road outlet or the North Bridge Road outlet?

Quite attractive lah. I am liking her sweet smile and her cheeks.

She has a masculine jawline. That indicates a strong libido.

I want to try their chilli sauce. Most Chinese nasi lemak stalls have mediocre chilli sauce.
