Russian flagged crude oil tanker barred from docking in Kuala Linggi​

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia bound Russian flagged crude oil tanker named Linda is barred from docking in Kuala Linggi near Negri Sembilan on March 5.

The Transport Ministry said the port operator of the vessel's destination had decided to decline her intention to call at Kuala Linggi International Port.

"The vessel called Linda, also known as Lady M, as cited in media reports published early this week is allegedly included in sanctions by a foreign country against the Russian Federation.

"This is in order not to violate any sanctions as is the operator's prerogative," said the ministry in a statement this evening.

The ministry added it will continue to review the situation for further action as may be required according to current government policies.
