I have a strong disdain towards marketing people. They are too overpaid and only know how to talk cock to promote company products. The industry I was in is filled with such crappy morons that they job-hop every 6 months cos they know shit about the products without any technical background.

Let's have some compassion for a fellow Sporean citizen. At the very least he had the courage to go on camera to explain his situation & for those whom are in his position, which are many in this current Covid uncertainty, may help than some cowardly others who pretend nothing happen but getting in debt further daily & its harmful consequences to oneself & family.
Selling one's HDB house is not an issue as it had already appreciated in value, like most homes, which our forefather's were wise to create - at the least one can still get some money to survive & downgrade to a smaller unit, with plans to upgrade once situation is better so long as one is willing to work hard & smart - the cornerstone of a Sporean mindset for decades.
Upgrading of skill is necessary in this changing world. As Human Civilization progresses, so too will skills. Even a garage mechanic's skill will have to change, let alone degree holders. Fintech is the new catchword for those in the finance industry where money & products are traded at light speed. Electric, Electronic/self driven cars are being produced & combustion engine type cars going extinct. Computer software & hardware evolving, taking even schools & one day even the Courts will go holographic, etc.
It's a brave new World, of Humanity's evolution to the next level. The juggernaut of change exists. Either make that change or be crushed by the juggernaut as those in the past whom did not embrace computer tech & were left far behind. It's only reality and pragmatism, which we Sporeans are good at, for own & loved ones survival, which is why we are far ahead than our neighbors.
