Taiwanese-American singer Wang Leehom, 45, put an end to all those divorce rumours on Wednesday (Dec 15) when he confirmed that he and his wife Lee Jinglei, 35, are indeed separating after eight years of marriage… but the media frenzy certainly didn’t stop there.
In fact, things got worse as all kinds of ‘related’ reports and even more speculations started popping up, with everything from how Leehom will be splitting his NT$3bil (S$147mil) fortune to his mum’s disapproval of his previous girlfriends being thrust into the spotlight.

Those who are planning on stirring up more baseless gossip about Leehom and Yumi might want to think twice about doing so.
Leehom’s manager has warned that they will not hesitate to take legal action against those who continue to spread “malicious slander” and “false accusations and reports”.
They added that they will stop responding to personal matters to avoid taking up social resources.
BY2’s work studio also issued a statement on Weibo explaining that the seemingly ‘intimate’ pics of Yumi and Leehom were deliberately cropped out of a group photo that was taken at a celebratory event for his concert in 2013.
Like Leehom’s reps, they threatened to take legal action against rumour-mongers, saying that such “false information” has “caused misunderstandings among the general public and media” and “seriously damaged BY2’s reputation”.
