Road cyclists average 40kph which is faster than most car trips so it can hardly be considered to be "hogging". Cars cause far more delays and congestion.

The person who posted this video is confirmed rule following and vaccinated darwinly. Yes, the rule is there by the cycling federation ( keep showing it in the video). Imuho best is to allow only 2 wheelers on the road I.e cyclist and motorsikal and the rate of accidents will be much lowered and my uncle can continue his hobby of riding and reaching destination on time safely.

Cyclists are not "taking over" the roads their just using the roads like any other mode of transport.

The most significant "take over" of roads over the years has been by passenger vehicles with the vast majority commuting with only a single occupant viz the driver.

It honestly is about time that cyclists, PMDs, pedestrians, PABs took back some of the space that cars have been clogging up for many years while spewing billions of tons of carbon and other obnoxious particulates which cause 7 million deaths worldwide annually. That's twice the death toll of Covid EVERY SINGLE YEAR!

If any law changes are going to be made it should be one that stipulates that single occupant commutes are not allowed. A commute involving a single person should be via PMD or bicycle only.
