The Liverpool hospital bomber had reverted to practising Islam in the months before his attack, investigators believe.

One theory is that Emad Al Swealmeen, who had converted to Christianity after his arrival in Britain, was trying to atone for apostasy which is considered to be punishable by death by some Islamic scholars.

Associates are believed to have told detectives that Al Swealmeen, 32, an Iraqi asylum seeker, had since returned to Islam, although sources said that was “not a motive for an attack”. Counterterrorism police are yet to find evidence of an ideology that motivated him.

Al Swealmeen started to attend Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral in late 2015, after his first plea for asylum was rejected, and converted in March 2017.

In the first place, every man is free to practice whatever faith he wants as long as it does not harm others. That is the foundation set in the holy book. No compulsion in faith.

Mainstream islam states that to be recognized as a real moslem, you have to believe in the hadith. Reciting the shalahlah prayer to confess that mahomet is a prophet is not sufficient. moslems, through their own mainstream beliefs, already acted on in real life that their quran is insufficient for islamic religious instructions.

Thats probably because these rituals were made by oagans abd idol worshippers,
There are no such rituals in the quran.
Even fasting is questionable as its just one or two verses that mentions it. Anyway I see no logic 8n fast8ng. It only brings misery and torment for no apparent benefit.

You're right that moslem fasting is questionable. In my F&B catering business, I had to order more raw food ingredients every year during moslem fasting month. It turned out that moslems actually consume more food during fasting month than during their non-fasting month. Many moslems binge-eat after their 'fast' in their iftar meals. So there is actually net increase in food consumption during moslem ramadan.

If moslems really want to lose weight, they are better off not fasting. moslem fasting is just simply shifting around their meal timings and binge eating during those timings.
