And these mules are mostly chaps who are deep in debts with the loan sharks there. So the alternative for them to pay off their debts is to smuggle heroin into Singapore. Agree. Can't really blame the Matland Mamas since racist Bumiputra policies deprived then of many things which would benefit their community. So they seek solace in drinks, drugs and being gang members, fighters for Chinese SS gangs. From my past regular trips to northern Matland, I came to learn that Mamas there have become key members in Chinese SS gangs. They are more ruthless more violent and their Chinese bosses trust them and give them important assignments to carry out. Gangland hits are mostly carried out by Keling hitmen. Some years back on a trip with an ex colleague a Malaysian Chinese chap who used to be a 08 member. Intro me to this burly Mama who is a CKT stall owner in Sungai Petani Kedah. Cooked a mean CKT without the lard. Friendly chap , spoke Hokkien fluently, used to be cargo driver on long distance delivery trips to Singapore in the 90s. After the meal on my way back to Penang, my ex colleague told me that fat CKT Mama once did one hit on an MIC lackey who was also a gang member. MIC chap was just injured.
