Let's say you have shares in some company called RAND Enterprises. And this company every year makes good profits. Share price keeps going up 30% year on year. Good dividends as well.

But the RAND Enterprises is damn shitty board of directors and CEO is an asshole. Dont give a shit about people. But somehow can spin and hide and control all media reports so no word gets out.

Come shareholder meeting you want to vote out the current board and CEO? Put in Danny Rand the compassionate loving guy who wants to sell the drug for leishmaniasis at COST thus making RAND lose hundreds of millions in R&D investment? So that can save millions of lives?
