Any bitten fruit company is not in my consideration, especially one run by a fucking commie faggot. I already have a 10 inch el-cheapo android tablet that serves me well. I just want something with a long battery life and good readability under ambient light.

I'm sure other big tech companies e.g. Amazon and Google etc aren't run by commies. Or their senior executives are 100% straight.

These big techs aren't run by commies. They are run like commies. And they are closely linked with commies. Where do you think they get their massive big data from in order to finesse their AI algorithms ?

i swear by the good old printed book. smell the printed pages, feel the texture of the paper, appreciate as the paper ages, the dog eared, the rumbled...and best of all, there's no need to charge that damm thing.

Unfortunately I'm at an age where serious presbyopia has set in, so a physical book with crazy small text size is practically unreadable and unrealistic.

Add to loo read :geek:. I had to relinquish my hard/paper backs not only due to space constraints.
I tried to palm off to 2nd hand book dealer, but he was lan lan.
So I bequeathed to Salvation Army

I still prefer hardback book. It feels so authentic, warm and physical when holding the book in my hands.

ipad can be heavy (even ipad mini or ipad air). those dedicated ebook reader like kobo better.
also ipad have other apps, you tend to distract & go surf or open other apps.

Not sure about amazon books but kobo uses epub which can be downloaded from pirated sites and be imported. so effectively the ebooks are free.

Many free books here:

https://z-lib.org/

People without an account can download five books every 24 hours.

Depending on your needs, you can convert epub to pdf, or vice versa. Many free services online to do that.
