Firm forced manager to beg as punishment
A manager of a hair saloon in Xian, China was punished by being forced to beg for money on the streets when she failed to hit her sales target.
Her colleague - also a manager from the other branches - and his wife were forced to slap themselves 40 times each in front of dozens of workers.
The man’s face was bleeding after the self-inflicted slaps.He was said to have failed to hit the sales target for the two outlets he was in charge of.
His female assistant and a male assistant were punished to 100 times and 120 times of push-ups respectively. They passed out later due to over exhaustion.
According to Sin Chew Daily the saloon-chain had introduced such inhumane punishments for iemployees who did not fulfil their required tasks.
Even senior management staff have nit been spared from the harsh punishments.
It is learnt the company had made workers, including the senior management staff to wash toilets, live in the office for a week and made perform squat-jumping from ground floor to 27th floor and also to eat raw bitter gourd.
The company apparently also records the punishments on video to show to other staff as a means to "motivate" them.
