Why nobody ever read instruction manuals after buying a product, be it phones, tablets, computers, washing machines, etc

This is not the first time she say I am stupid when I ask her read instruction manuals.

Manufacturers take effort, spend time engaging specialists to write these instruction manuals.

At least read it to know the safety aspects before using the product.
