A thriving hawker centre has all three factors:

1) Close to a high density HDB residential area, which means near at least one mall and a MRT station.
2) Close to (typically, office) workplaces.
3) At or near a touristy area.

Two out of three = average.
One out of three = bad. Usually most stalls closed after 2-3pm.
 
Actually Monday is the favourite off day for most hawkers. :cool:

I heard they put sanitary pad in their gravy making, it's a secret ingredient. Soiled ones, should be fresh I hope.
