I went to work with a running nose. My line manager threw me out of the office and ask me see a doctor or work from home.

She says I am irresponsible for coming to work in the office. But I told her I took my temperature and its 36.5deg. I have no fever, just a bad running nose. She still chased me out of office.

Is she abusing her authority? Can I report her to HR for abuse of power?

She just called me and check if I have seen a doctor. I told her no I haven't. I do not have a fever, so what's the point of seeing a doctor. She says I could be asymptomatic and have Covid-19.

I told her she is paranoid. She now threatens me if I do not see a doctor by tomorrow, I am not allowed back in the office. I tried to reasoned with her but she slammed the phone down on me.

I think I better start looking for another job asap.

Do did you chase after your running nose?
Nope. I took Zyrtec. It has stopped running. And I just took my temperature. I still do not have a fever.

Maybe it's because my blanket was stolen last night by my GF and I caught a cold.

Just quit the job. How unreasonable! Boss wants you to stay at home!

I used to have runny nose in the morning from young, doctor prescribed medication that made me sleepy, these days I drink a big mug of luke warm water in the morning when I wake, it cures my runny nose.

Update

1. I didn't see a doctor.
2. I have no more running nose after self medicating with Zyrtec.
3. I also have no fever no cough.
4. I went back to office this morning.
5. Line Manager asked me if I see a doctor, I said no.
6. She asked me to get out of office again. I told her I have no running nose, no cough and no fever.
7. She said don't come to work and work from home until I see a doctor.
8. So I went to see a doctor after being chased out of office a second time by my Line Manager.
9. At the clinic, the doctor asked me what is wrong with me. I said I had running nose yesterday but everything is fine today, no cough, no fever.
10. Doctor asked me then why I come to clinic for?
11. I said my Line Manager said if I don't see a doctor, I am not allowed back physically in the office.
12. Doctor was amused and laughed.
13. I told Doctor can he please write a Memo for me to certify that I am healthy to return to office.
14. He said no. He said he doesn't do such Memos unless it's a referral to specialists.
15. Then I left.
16. I called and texted my Line Manager to tell her I have seen a doctor and forwarded the clinic receipt.
17. She told me do not come to work until next Monday and I can work from home this week.
18. I asked her why so. I said the Doctor in the clinic said I am fine.
19. Line Manager said it's better for everyone in office as a safety precaution.
20. She hanged up the phone and refused to answer my text messages.

WTF. Why am I being discriminated?
