In fact, Facebook and Twitter etc probably had learnt all their dark arts (demonetizing, shadowbanning, keywords censoring) from China's Tencent (Wechat) and Weibo. Started in 2016-17 i.e. the start of Trump's presidency.

I think it's a waste of time and energy to argue/debate on Facebook and Twitter, or worse, the Youtube comment section.
