she's right. local liberal govs at the state, county, and city levels can bully and trample on law-abiding small businesses but are afraid of and beholden to big businesses. walk into any walmart or target store, and you can see throngs of shoppers buying food, groceries, doodads, gadgets, cosmetics, clothing, with little disregard to social distancing but a small retail business cannot operate with more than 1 customer in the store. eateries can only serve take-outs. worse for hair salons, nail salons, facial and cosmetic boutique shops. they have to shut down. yet, large cosmetic retail giants ulta and sephora are allowed to open with throngs of customers inside. if you run a small sundry shop, good luck. they fine you if you open your tiny store with hardly 6.9 feet of room between you and your customer, yet they don't check on the crowds at giant supermarts such as costco, safeway, whole foods, sprouts, etc.
