zam zam is no fight with Islamic or Jubilee

I think the only restaurants 3 storey high and they were not only icon but landmarks too

in those day ,only two roads to reach our commercial district , 1 was by Nichol Highway and the other through North Bridge Rd ,the moment you turn into North Bridge road ,you will see these two huge buildings almost next to each other

Is Islamic and Jubilee still operating?

jubilee bunkus, but Islamic still is in a very small shop lot by one of the founders son who is married to Penoy, so the standard also have gone south

I use to meet another son in Brunei ,also had a restaurant under Islamic name ,horrible food

we met as fellow Sinkies but he is an asshole full of him self and behaved more bumi than bumis

Those era most of the food are nice. Unlike nowadays. Could it be the way they are being cooked. Those days using charcoal...
there is something about Islamic and Jubilee in those era I loved

use to bring my Muslim
customers

there was a mutton dish made in black sauce ,the fragrance itself was heaven..till today I had searched the entire singapore and couldnt find that dish anymore

than service, the waiters were almost like butlers ,polite and bend to ask recommend, they even told me we couldn't finish the dishes we ordered ,very delightful

whenever I get the curry attack, I use to go to Kandahar street ,a mamak called Meesai or moustache along the street had nothing less than 20 dishes, such as pigeon, deer ,quill, kampong chicken ,brains ,intestine and etc etc ....dishes all have vanished now ..but strangely no beef

the cook was always with an open bottle of black label
