FM in singapore recruits pretty actively if you brags a bit when drinking regularly at some nightspots. These days, even current and ex-SAF regulars are invited. There is a problem with Asians for being less willing to contribute in such fraternity. Participants in Singapore are less sincere these days, so it is frustrating and hard for you to raise through the ranks if you are Taoist, Muslim or Buddhists.

If you that into such organisations, i recommend participating in some private gentlemen's club. Join such clubs to spend money together, make some like-minded friends without the underlying intention to network for your financial or business benefits.
