Take care folks!

How did you figure?

There aren't that many elective spinal surgeries for people in your age group. Common ones of course.

I used to assist in quite a few of these operations.

Get well soon Zhihau!

It may be my turn soon if my core strengthening exercises don't work. Hopefully the surgeon can fix my hernia at the same time.

Spine surgery?

From what I remember from my time in Ortho usually the op can help with the radiculopathy sciatica neuropathic type pain symptoms. But not always the non neurological pain symptoms.

Which is why not everyone is a candidate for surgery. Sometimes operate and the pain can get worse. Patient selection is key.

The pain is always in my left glut. Some days it is not noticeable and other days it hurts like hell.

I did a lot of core exercises but the stenosis that comes with age just didn’t recognise those effort.

Your doctors already imaged and said the source cause is in the lumbar spine?

Pain in a joint can be caused by pathology at the level of that joint or one joint above or below.

Hence it could be lumbar spine, hip or knee pathology.

Is the glut pain numbness? Burning? Pins and needles? Stabbing? Aching?

Could it be pyriformis syndrome?
