Afghanistan: Many Taliban recently freed from Afghanistan prisons have rejoined the jihad

What did the mainstream analysts expect they would do? Become stockbrokers? But this does not mean we should continue the failed attempt at “nation-building” in Afghanistan. The American troops should all come home, and efforts devoted to quarantining Afghan jihadis in Afghanistan so that they can’t wage their jihad outside of that country.

KABUL: Many Taliban recently freed from Afghanistan prisons have rejoined the insurgency, Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation Dr. Abdullah Abdullah says, bringing a US-Taliban deal into disrepute which then undermines the goodwill gesture by the Afghan government for freeing thousands of insurgent inmates.

“Honestly, I don’t know how many have rejoined the war,” Abdullah told the US Foreign Relations Council, “But I know that some of them went back to the battlefields and this is in contrast with their commitment in the U.S.-Taliban peace deal.”

However, he didn’t provide further information and any proof in regards. Abdullah also confirmed that a large number of these prisoners remain at home and denounce violence.

The February 29th peace deal that also laid out the American troops’ drawdown in Afghanistan included the release of 5,000 Taliban prisoners in return for the 1,000 security forces. The Taliban committed that the prisoners would not rejoin the insurgency….

It's a tribal thing. They fight among each other non stop.maybe it will be a good idea to seek up the country into tribal areas.
The Taliban for instance are pashtun.
The ones that fought them are shiites of Persian descent.

A moslem jihadist cannot be trusted. If the jihadist swears on his quran or on the honor of his prophet, that's a sign that he is outright lying.

I read that in the chink warring states, combatant POWs were outright executed or buried alive. They won't even be given the luxury of being sold into slavery.

The land was lawless since ancient times. Too mountainous. Even silk route traders go further north to avoid it.

If they are faithful Muslims, surely they will not object being sent to paradise early？
