They still can continue to rigged the system but the candidate or underlying they bring in must have some sort of capability. The leader too must have some sort of capability to talent spot people to do the job. You need not to have all talent at all. You ask LKY to run own business. He will be the 1st to fold of he can't rigged the system according to his whims and fancy.
People can accept that you are rigging the system as long as their life has improved. You didn't improve the life of people but you keep drawing high high salary while the people suffer a drop their quality and standard of living.
Look at LKY, people accepted LKY because he indeed improve the life of people overall. He too rigged the system big time. But people threw their support behind him by voting him again and again.
Look a lhl. He can't make it. He looks jaded and out of idea and out of sort.
