Micron is doing brick business in Singapore. My cousin complain. My cousin has been complaining that many groups of different company came and audited Micron for their process.

Micron is irrelevant. The two big players are TSMC and Samsung.

Apple Macs will soon use ARM chips instead of Intel x86 chips. That's a big chunk of Intel business gone.

Not really, chips are used in a lot of electronics. Not just our pads, hp and computer.

Clickbait headlines. Intel's decision is neither a failure nor is it stunning. It's a business decision like any other.

American companies have been outsourcing manufacturing since the 70s. The head office did chip design. They then outsourced the rest of the operations ie fab, assembly, testing and burn in.

It was thanks this outsourcing that I got my first high paying job and never looked back.

Characters such as Tommy Goh became multi multi millionaires thanks to outsourcing. God bless America for outsourcing.

TSMC should merge with Intel or buyover Intel, TSMC's share price is historical high now, gained 700% in ten years.

Why on earth would a subcontractor want to buy out a customer? Once this happens many other customers will consider them to be competitors and they'll lose a shitload of business.

Intel had some tech transfer to TSMC lately. I suspect Intel wants to focus on design. They can't compete in manufacturing.

If TSMC and Intel become one, Hynix, Samsung, SMIC, UMC, Toshiba and Micron will be forced to restructure.

This has been the situation since the 70s. Manufacturing has been subcontracted to Asia for the last 50 years.

Let's say you are Morris Chang, AMDK said, "I give you Intel, you gradually leave China."
Will you bite?

I will.

I'm not privy to data regarding the industry nowadays so I can't make an educated call for specific cases. However no subcontactor I've known has ever thought that vertical integration upwards is a good idea and it makes no business sense.
