Heng is not even PM yet and this episode demonstrate his dithering nature.

Indecisive.

He himself would know how LKY would act in instances like this. He would move swiftly to remove the cause and contain the damage to other candidates reputation.

If Heng cannot or dare not remove a candidate before an election, how will he have the guts to censure his cabinet colleagues when they cockup in their ministries? Will he even dare remove them? The evidence is clear.

All these are symptomatic of how the Singapore ship will be captained in the future. Rest assured that when you see the ship is headed right smack into an iceberg, you can be confident that this captain will do nothing except steer straight ahead.

You are in unchartered waters. Good luck Singapore.

Let’s see which is more important? The credibility of the selection process or the importance of the candidate’s character?

To remove Ivan the Terrible means the admission of the flaws in their selection process, while to accept Ivan the Terrible means his elitist and obnoxious character is in alignment with the PAP’s ethos.

Correct or not? Teehee...

Heng is your archetypical 白面书生 technocrat. Let him run a country, any country, and that country is fucked.

Always love a good catch-22

That's y I say PAP has lost its direction already. If what is mentioned about Ivan are all true, PAP has truly lost ground with its selection process. Person's character, integrity n credibility are the most important aspects to look out for. Just because he's some army CO or a high flyer in a big co. means he's good? It's a good thing all his dirty linen are being exposed now!
Does not mean coming from humble background means the person will remained humble!

My take is he will remain. To my memory, they have never removed a candidate just because a few people didn't like that person.

The candidate will pull himself out of the race by himself, remember Steve and how Baey need to fill in Tampines GRC in the 11th hour?

Don't expect too much from a sycophant.

Oh yes. Steve Tan, due to "personal reasons". I am sure he was told to remove himself, to save the pap from embarrassment.

I doubt it.....Singapore survived 17 years under the clown prince......I don't see how any of them could be any worse.its just a matter of who is less irritating.

candidates put up are also vetted and approved by respective contesting constituents sycophant grassroot leaders (with vested interest.) 三脚 angkat bodek angjin.

So, ok... candidate’s character is paramount. Which means the selection process is flawed!

Everyone focus on Ivan the Terrible, but there could be nastier lanjiao langs among the PAP new faces too, under the radar. You can never know these days.

Step up the social media pressure and make him quit. We don’t need this type of atas ppl in parliament. He will be in a GRC and enter by coat tails.

Of course, but you have to take what you can get, even if it is the low lying fruit. Next!

LOL................ I would have preferred to have LHL apologise the day before polling day, but this will do for now.
