Nooooooooo thanks, Mr Apple Fanboy. I hate the fact that since day one, they use proprietary hardware and software. They do their darnest to lock in users. Someone gifted me an iPad a few years ago, I gave it away.

Apple is very much like the CCPee and Tim Cock/Steve Jobs is like Winnie Xi.

You need to root your Android phone and sideload Google Gcam for best results, provided you have good optics to begin with.

Even that cannot match the iPhone's video quality.

Google Pixel which runs stock Android also cannot compete with that.

Everyone is using proprietary software and hardware, it's just that Apple has more stringent controls as everything is developed in-house. Google has to depend on the good graces of Qualcomm or some other chipmaker.

Up till today there is no Android equivalent of iMessage or Facetime. Please don't say 'Just use one of the chat apps' or install Skype etc.

With an Android phone, software updates are haphazard and a mess. For example, Android P users wonder when Android 10 arrive, and even if the update arrives, will it break anything. Some Android phone makers are lazy/incompetent about maintaining software.

Doesn't matter. I hate Apple.
Fuck Apple. Fuck Tim Cock.
I'm happy to root, mod my camera apps for good image quality.
When push comes to shove, I'll just tether my phone to my Sony QX10 and that is still many times better than any i-Fuck-Phone.

Most are not using proprietary software and hardware. Open standard is the way, and adopted by the vast majority of phone makers. Computers too. A product ought to comprise components and software from many companies. Such that no one is indispensable and the end-user is not blackmailed, held to ransom.

OSes and software/apps are so intelligent these days, one would be hard-pressed to screw up a phone. Or even a computer. Most people are sensible enough to not go to file manager, or a rooted phone, and start deleting stuff!

Finally ! Met a kaki that can appreciate the technology in this underrated flagship. It's also the first SLR that supports HSS.
Do you use the F280 flash with it for HSS ? If so, what's your experience ?
You know, I never got to use the F280... those day, got time but no money. Now got money but no time. Also, I was/am mostly into existing light photography. Too lazy to carry around equipment, I guess.. Still have my Hasselblad 500C from 1991 or so, got tired of carrying that and went back to 35 mm.

Hassy has a reputation of unreliability. Have you experienced that yourself ?
Might wanna try Mamiya 645 as it is really dirt cheap now...

I actually bought a Mamiya 645 before the Hassy. I can’t remember the details, but I returned it because of some electronics defect. The Hassy has been reliable. I know there was a period when they were shit due to some ownership change, but mine was not from that period.

The waist level finder and square format makes you approach each frame with a very different mindset. It is much more contemplative, slower, more composed way of doing things. For me, eye-level viewfinders and auto exposure encourage a faster, snap-shooting style. I like the Hassy approach a lot. If you get a chance, try it for awhile, it is very different!

Hassy bodies may be cheap but lenses are crazy expensive. At one time was also looking at the C330 TLR but reckon will look out of place in public.
