back in 80, taiwan copy all kind of usa, german, product ...and sell to their own citizen and also here in Singapore.
quality is suck and before you buy the salesman say one year warranty.
after you buy.....can't even find the salesman.
when these taiwan boss go int mainland to produce (not sure how taiwan passport can go into mainland in the 90's.)
the taiwan boss suck attitude trained out many china business/factory boss.....and from end 90 till now, those above 60-yo factory boss cannot be trust.

Communist China enticed first capitalist hongkies to invest in china, and later on Taiwanese chipmakers and manufacturers.
But under xi jinping, he detest capitalism.

Those end of 90s are of a different breed, with no morals and are more materialistic than the older ones.
