If the space station is orbiting in the same direction at the same rate along the same plane as the earth then everything looks stationary. To speed things up and make everything look more dramatic they should orbit in opposite directions.
I thought it looked like 2km/h but then it is from sooooo far away so probably much faster. I would say 69km/h?
