MAPLETREE Industrial Trust will join the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) from June 22, replacing Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), following the latest quarterly review of the STI by FTSE Russell.

The STI reserve list, comprising the five highest-ranking non-constituents by market cap, are mostly made up of real estate investment trusts (Reits). In order of size, they are Keppel DC Reit, Suntec Reit, NetLink NBN Trust, Frasers Logistics & Industrial Trust and Keppel Reit.

Stocks on the reserve list will replace any constituents that become ineligible as a result of corporate actions before the next review. The next quarterly review of the STI will take place in September 2020.

The STI, Singapore’s main stock market benchmark is jointly calculated by FTSE Russell, the index administrator; SPH, which publishes The Business Times; and the Singapore Exchange (SGX).

I hope in future, maid agencies, and tuition centers will seek listing and get themselves listed in SGX. This will be truly Singapore

Current management is the weakest in history. CEO - paper general, Dy CEO - ex civil servant and SA to LKY, CFO - ex small time venture capitalist, CMO - ex journalist. All have zero experience in media business.

How is this guy still employed is beyond me....how many more companies is he going to sink before they hang his fat ass?

Not the weakest....more like a management of cronies.

Can he join PAP as a minister next? Pretty sure he will give them the death touch.

No lah. I think this guy not primed for politics. More to do his job of destroying companies so they can be sold off cheap to cronies then later recover the business and private profits.

mission accomplished. When SPH is being sold in near future, he can move on to the next listed company
