How many coronavirus victims are maids?

Should be under quarantine, the number of confirmed FDW cases as of last week was only 17 as informed by the authorities to a question from The New Paper.................... if you believe it.

Oops, just to clarify on my earlier post, not sure whether the 60 FDWs are actually infected or just under quarantine.

This is a very sensitive matter for obvious reasons.

Those who have a good working relationship with their Filipino FDWs would probably know what is actually going on.

From what I understand, the Sin Philippines embassy and our government agencies have been handling this sensitive matter pretty well under the circumstances.

Think all parties with vested interests have been pretty lucky because of MOM’s restriction on FDWs from going out.

Before 7 April, the FDWs were still out............................ and about......................

So many milestones and timelines, I can't keep up.

But like I said above, the Filipina FDWs seem to have the real inside picture on the current situation affecting them via info from the Philippines embassy.

Those who have a good working relationship with their Filipina FDWs, can try enquiring about this. Quite intriguing.

The number of FDW is not reported by MOH. They only responded because the New Paper asked them the specific question.

Think that TNP question is probably outdated.

Just check with a friendly filipina FDW for a current update which I gather is provided by the Philippines embassy.

Actually I find it strange and curious that no else has mentioned what I said before?

Sensitive information, no doubt, but seems like it is being handled quite well under the circumstances.

No idea on the situation with respect to other nationality FDWs though, especially the Indons.

I believe the TNP question was asked and answered one week ago, around 23 April.

MOH n PH emb hv no right to reveal and discriminate in public the nos. infected under
Medical Confidentiality; maybe this pandemic is exception.
Then what about Indo emb ?

I tot Peenoys always fight for rights ?

It would be great if we could get a copy of that daily update.
That is why I keep saying go ask a friendly Pinay FDW...then you might understand the difficulty in getting a daily update copy and the complexity behind the same.

I don't have a Pinay FDW and don't know any friendly ones. :frown:

Sorry can't help you out there.

But still surprised that I am the only one mentioning this apparent sensitive information arrangement. Gather there are around 200k Pinay FDWs, not forgetting other stakeholders like DW agencies, so surely the relevant news would be spreading about.

Would like to reiterate though that from what I have heard thus far, this sensitive situation seems to be under control and pretty well managed under the circumstances.

Based on the MOH Situation Report as at 3 May, there are 569 confirmed cases of work permit holders not residing in dormitories. Out of these, there are 166 cases which remain unlinked. Number of maids is not revealed in the MOH reports. :cautious:

That why i am curious ,they should breakdown into Sg citizens, PR, EP ,WP, dependants pass, also break down in age group .So at least will be clear cut of wat went wrong.but papigs want to cover up so lump sg n PR together, etc. All these r smoke grenade to citizens. The virus if not wring mostly from who everyone should know. Now even children also get ,i think the maids are carrier without symptons.

They don't reveal details about confirmed cases other than gender, age, nationality, residence status.

Currently 607 confirmed cases of work permit holders not residing in dormitories and still 186 unlinked cases. The gahmen needs to update how many of these are maids. :cautious:

It is an open secret that maids go out with Bangla men on weekends. You can safely presume that many maids will be infected with the virus from their boyfriends. Last night another 33 work permit holders not from dormitories came down with the virus. The gahmen needs to come clean and announce how many maids have the virus to date so that families with maids can take precautions.

No need to fuck the maids, just a sponge bath will suffice.

If the gahmen donch want to announce how many maids have the virus...just ask the sirs to fuck the maids and wait 14 days.

If positive...then the family can take necessary precaution.

Someone has to do the dirty work for the gahmen....
