i reckon the thrust and intend...who played a major role in Singapore's history ...i contend neither chinese nor indians or even malays
there were evidences of earlier occupation of singapore much before parasmewara landing who than went to establish Malacca sultanate....sinkies inhabitans were mainly orang laut or sea gypsies....othetwise ,a look out post or garrison
no body bothered about singapore ...not the malay kingdoms as sri Vijaya or Majapahit, thus not malay ...the chinese historically had not a word to say about singapore ..the famous chinese admiral cheng ho passed through our stairs to and fro with hundreds of ships and 30k men but never a word about Singapore...
not a single ancient traveller whether chinese or Ibnu Batutta or Marco polo uttered a single word about Singapore
the only evidence ,ever existed was what was then called the Singapore stone, as a marker in front of the Singapore River...which Raffles claimed blown apart by the British as a mistake...thats bullshit! ..the stone written in an Indian language laid claimed to Singapore by probably Majapahit kingdom ,technically ,Indonesian .But Raffles bought Singapore from a Malayan sultan and thus a illegal purchase since the ownetship lied with the Dutch who colonised Indonesia than...thus evidences of Singapore destroyed
in reality ,if no british ,no singapore ..
