To be honest, none of what you've stated apply, at least to me. This country is where my grandparents, parents and I grew up. Where most of my friends are. I am patriotic because this country contains many people I am fond of. Granted, a lot of the places of yesteryear are gone, but I still have great memories of them. When I drive by or happen to visit certain areas, my mind's eye can still see that old cinema, that old road, the roadside hawkers, houses, rivers, bridges, grassland and so on.
