Based on my experience of being harmed by Malaysian Chinese that studied in Chinese schools learning 仁义道德 礼义廉耻 but I don’t see a single bit of it in practice. All fake.

Confucianism is legalism, which promotes the idea that the state/ruler is bigger than the individual and subservience is duty. Compare this with the Malays' Hang Jebat, who stated that loyalty is conditional.
