Covid Mortality Rate By Age

I have heard from news that the latest death rates in US are contradicting this trend. Many Americans in the 30s and 40s are dying from covid19. Might search for official stats later

It depends what you mean by "many". The mortality rate by age group seems to be pretty consistent regardless of which country the data is from.

I think definition of many in the media and in people's minds is same as "one too many"

That's the root cause of this whole sorry episode in the history of mankind.

It is the same with drug development.

The approval process is drawn out and expensive. When a new drug finally gets approval the drug companies would have spent millions getting it to market.

However if it is found that the drug causes just 5 to 10 deaths in a litigious society like the USA the payout can be astronomical and the drug could be removed from the list.

This is despite the fact that it saved tens of thousands of lives.

If the drug company uses the defense "the number of deaths is very low" the retort is of course "every life matters".

LOL! Spot on

Actually I have personally encountered this crap myself.

During my time as an MO in BMTC everyone treats a death of a NSF in camp like a unicorn event.

The entire SAF would try to pin the blame on the SAF MO on duty.

How come healthy young NSF recruit can die?

How come any NS man can die?

Only got high fever cough them suddenly die? The MO must be damn cock.

Please lah. Between the ages of 18 to 25 do people NOT die? No males in the world aged 18 to 25 die from illnesses?

But if it happens while the male is serving NS it is "not acceptable".

That is what you will hear the Defence Minister say.

That's why I say dont blame the doctors. Or even pharma.

Blame the lawyers. The media.

I missed the MO that often gave me attend C during my BMT training
When did you serve your BMT?

I regularly gave everyone ATT C.

This was after CARMO asked me to make a list of how many recruits would ask for ATT C and present it to COL Lo Yung Poh. (BMTC commander and the commando who shot dead the airline terrorist at Changi Airport).

COL Lo told me "I dont see what's wrong with recruit asking for MC. When I go see my GP I also sometimes ask for MC".

Ok lor......
