An 86 year-old female Singapore Citizen has passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection on Apr. 3, 2020 at 1:55am.

This was announced the Ministry of Health (MOH) at around 11am on the same day.
The details match that of Case 918, who is linked to a cluster from Lee Ah Mooi.

The patient had no recent travel history to affected countries and regions.

She was admitted to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) on Mar. 31, and was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on the same day.

She eventually succumbed to the infection

NCID has reached out to her family and is extending assistance to them.

Admitted 31 March. 3 days later, she is gone. Really fast....

The virus do kill.
It all depend on the person state of health.
No one is safe especially the risk higher for old
It hit and killed this elderly very fast. All within 72 hours.

Most people have health complications way before.
So once the infected by covid19
All hell break lose especially the very old.
So unlikely this people can survive.
That's why government from the start should take note of old age home and nursing care center from beginning

A bad flu year can be even more deadly than Covid-19

In developed countries, such as the United States, deaths due to pneumonia and influenza account for >3% of all deaths in people aged ⩾65 years

What is the complication? Old age?
hanor, but still early days yet to see if the mortality rates from covid-19 will surpass those that croaked from the flu.
it's a no-brainer that the elderly (>60 yo) may have underlying medical / multi-organ ailments - and the onset of flu leading to pneumonia which share similar covid traits in fucking up the lungs, that would overtake the flu in terms of demographics :frown:

Hope the bcg experiment bears fruit in australia...makes total sense why the young ones are exempted but the elderly are dropping like flies...Its cheap proven and safe
