SIBU: Human body parts, which included a left leg, both hands and several organs, were found in the stomach of a crocodile which was shot dead by villagers in Jaka, Sarikei, on Friday night.
The body parts are believed to be that of a 78-year-old man, Lingai Anak Rabong, who was dragged into the water by a crocodile in Sungai Mekan-Sare at 11am on March 19 while collecting nipah palm shoots.

The State Fire and Rescue Department in a statement yesterday said the 4.5m-long crocodile was shot dead by villagers at about 8.50pm on Friday.
A police team on the same night pulled the crocodile to the riverbank.

The department said at about 10.30am yesterday, a longhouse chief, Tuai Rumah Amkan, and two brothers of the victim, opened up the stomach of the crocodile in front of the villagers.
“Inside the stomach were a left leg, two hands and several organs, ” it said.
Earlier on March 20, the right leg and heart believed to be that of the victim were found floating at a place 3km away from where the incident occurred.
In another case in Sabah, a man was killed by a crocodile while fishing by a river in Kinabatangan district.
The victim, identified as 23-year-old Zulkifli Azmi, was reported missing by his friends at about 11am on Friday.
Witnesses said the reptile snatched Zulkifli and pulled him into the water.
State Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Khatizah Rahaban said Zulkifli, who worked at the Tg Bulat Jungle Camp, went fishing by a river in the area.
“After receiving a call about the incident, our search and rescue team went to look for the victim but operations had to be called off at 6.16pm, ” she said.
Zulkifli’s body was found at 9am yesterday close to where he was last seen. His body was handed over to the police for further action.
