I do not believe that the funds invested by Singapore's GIC and Singapore's Temasek Holdings is any where close to the stellar returns of the Norwegians.
 
buy high sell low strategery should see gic and temasick buying when dow hits 29k and selling when it dives below 26.9k.

It's usually the poor people getting killed. So it's not a big deal.

I have to agree with you there. As long as those that are killed are insignificant and are more of a liability than an asset to the state it is actually advantageous to exterminate a handful every year.
