My point is, for the new mutated strain to propagate new generations successfully, it cannot be too harsh on its host, if the new strain kills off its host too quickly, the line won’t last long. So, we shall see.

agree. that a virus that is too virulent will self-extinguish is classically correct. just that with so many people especially in tiongland, the virus will have a field day before it needs to slow down which means the classical rules about the disease becoming less lethal over time will still happen, but slower.

Agree, numerical advantage does take precedence before classical case comes on. 0.1% of 1.4billion is still a lot in any case :confused::confused::confused:
 
Shouldn't all the passengers on the Scoot flight be quarantined? Or at least let the public know the Scoot flight number, so the passengers can turn themselves in for screening.

Yes I was just saying to my friend that two days ago zero case. Yesterday one case. Today three cases. Tomorrow and beyond, it's going to be a clusterfuck.

just reread your previous post on zoonoses. It's a theory of mine that it has to be particularly virulent to cross the species barrier in the first place. If it's mild, it won't cross the species barrier. Just a little theory though with nothing to back it up.
 
Nothing much will happen except some unlucky casualties, just like WW3 didn't happen that it suppose to be few weeks ago. Relax.
