A Malaysian PR I once work with, can afford to buy a good car, build a house etc..in Malaysia working here & earn enough, get back to where he once belong. A Pinoy working here, thrifty can build a two storey house with 4 rooms & a bath upstairs & two rooms with a hall two baths plus a hall & kitchen working here after 2 years. Whst does the average young locals get? They owe loans servicing a car ... loans for a pigeon hole etc.. Yes, salary is more...but.... Singapore is a heaven on earth for the foreigners working here, work & save, they can live the dreams. Whereas...the locals are loving the living hell & loving the PAP. PAP is the best.

You are discouragee from buying a car in sinkie. This policy works against families as they need cars. Send grannies yo hospitsl, kids to school etc.hence zero population growth. Cars for those with families should be tax exempted or reduced, no coe etc.

Many of the Malaysian working Singapore i know own at least a property in their hometown. Some own multiple properties in Malaysia. Some stay nearby jb but cross over to work here. This people just want earn a living like us. But they can achieve more then us.
