You think the PAP govt upgrades your hawker centres out of sheer benevolence?

Don't forget the mandatory cleaning when hawker centres are closed for 2-3 days for washing. That's 2-3 days of zero business. It's done regularly each year, so you can calculate for yourself.

You mean like the mchelin restaurants? Every asshole is raising rent. Guess learn from who
Delicious food will always have customers.
How expensive queue how long customers are willing.
It’s a matter of demand and supply.....let market forces decide.

Another cut and paste dickhead without hv assert own opinon and contribution...

i never have a good impression of NEA under that amy.

i think nea is very harsh on pple who litter and as if in a communist country, sending pple to corrective order, go court and get fine.

nea are the ones responsible for making sinkies so uptight and stressed in the city.

Most of the contractors are their cronies in the party and grassroots. You award them contracts with taxpayers monies and it will eventually comes back to pap in the form of political donations. It legitimate and that how politics works.

Rents do not form a big part of hawkers' fixed costs. It's raw ingredients and manpower costs. It's actually quite easy to be a successful hawker. Only retards are stuck with a single stall their whole life making meagre profits.

Even if zero rental, all the lousy stalls will have no customers.
