E-scooter users will have to pass theory test, be at least 16 years old to ride on cycling paths

I am of the opinion that PMDs should only be used on the roads (licensed riders, covered by insurance, pay road tax, mandatory helmet use, and so on). Just like motorcycles.
Pmds should be part of an integrated tpt network. Last km etc. So I have no issues with licences, insurance etc. The roads etc must be designed for this which at present is not. Will pap put in the resources so that all will benefit? And bicycles need to be off footpaths too. And on cycling lanes not compete with cars. Those tour de France wannabes are as big a risk as PMDs

One thing is clear for all to see, our urban planners are shit. All they know is to maximise the returns on land usage by catering mostly to high rise structures. The piece meal approach to other structures which yield less returns is the reason for this PMD fiasco.

Oh just great! I skipped lunch because of you, and now you want me to lose the murtabak I had for supper.

Ohhhhh. You should just see how John tan lap up the whole piece left right centre, whole head stick inside

You are correct, almost all sinkies hate those PMDs. And I am glad our beloved PAP has taken steps to manage and control their usage. Their resolve shows courage and determination in the face of fierce opposition from those loser PMD users. Those losers had better behave themselves and observe all rules and regulations governing PMD usage, or our beloved PAP could jolly well ban them.
Yes indeed with the present infrastructure it is near impossible to accommodate the pmds and the pedestrians on footpaths. Spend more money on infrastructure or let sleeping dogs lie.

The other problem the LTA donch see is that these PMDs catch fire when charging....

All lithium batteries can potentially explode or catch fire when charging.

Switch from lithium to graphene, and the problem no longer exists.

PAP is only master of SG. You can't be expecting them to tell the free market what to do? Besides manufacturers are Chinese. In China!

let sleeping dogs lie? You mean to let those retards on PMDs run rampant? The pap will lose more votes!

Oh I meant simply committing to the ban since it is already in place. No more fire hazards in low ses neighbourhoods too. They will understand it is for the greater good.

All these piece meal and reactive laws are part of the govt's attempt to control and regulate PMD usage, which they should've done years back.
