Serious Honda Girl knock down grandpa & grandgirl

Who is at fault? Sure, we can quickly say its the driver's fault, but what if it was red light, but the grandparent decided to still make a run for it?

That's why sometimes I shake my head when is see old people cross the roads. They always want to save a couple of mins and endanger themselves.
old people have plenty of time in their retire years to wait for green light ,to queue for micheelie food.why rush to reborn a new life

the green man was already flashing for the longest time before Ah gong appeared on screen, he still think he can do the 50m dash...stoopig pioneers

According to the video from the dash cam view, it took 13 secs for the red light to turn green after the man got knocked down.

The green man flashes only for the last 5 secs for most traffic light crossing... hmm...

This is what I thought so. Don't understand why many people especially pioneers like to take the chance.

Yes the Driver may be at fault ... end of the day - who is going to suffer? I am sure not the Driver.

This should be an excellent ad for FoodPanda....get them to deliver your food accident free.

Their delivery riders will take all the unnecessary traffic risks for $5.

There's possibility that driver of white car was blinded by the setting/rising sun, and could not see the child and grandparent crossing. See the shadow of the man crossing just before accident happened. Sun's rays were shining on all cars making that discretionary turn at that point in time. But of course, this is only a possibility and may not be a good enough mitigating factor for white car driver. Whether lights were in her favour or not, white car driver should not have accelerated at traffic light junction, and especially so when she's blinded by sunlight. And by the way, very fortunate front right wheel of white car did not crush child's head, almost did.

Well done LTA!

People are quick to blame the driver , but must also look at the mitigating factors. If pedestrians anyhow run or dash out, sun glare obstructed vision, traffic signs not clear, other Drivers don’t give signals when overtaking ..... all these are important factors.

Small girl needs counselling after this. If anything bad happens to grandpa, the incident will be on her mind the rest of her life.
