[China] - 7 year old little girl beaten to a bloody death with iron rod by her mother for eating too slowly, father too terrified to intervene

A 7-year-old girl, Guo, from Shandong province, China, was reportedly having lunch with her family when the speed of her eating became an issue.

According to China Press, Guo’s mother took issue with how slowly she was eating and threatened to beat her if she didn’t pick up the pace.

After several warnings, the mother demanded the father leave the room.

According to SCMP, she then beat the child repeatedly with an iron rod.

The father was apparently too scared to help the child, insisting that the wife would “also hit” him if he tried to intervene.

After the beating had ended, the father tried to take the daughter to the hospital but was rebuffed by the wife.

When he finally did manage to bring her to the hospital at 5pm, and do take note the incident occurred at lunchtime, it was far too late. Guo passed away at 7pm.

Guo’s father said his wife often beat the daughter over minor issues but never to this extent, he told the press he was shocked that she went this far this time.

The wife has been detained by the police.
